Touching base

Hi there! While I try to keep my second life well apart from the first one, because of some illness (nothing serious, blame the cold weather) I haven't been around much.

Blog updates suffered too, but by now you know I'm slow :)

That's all folks! (anyway I hope to post some stuff soon)

Home sweet home

A long time ago I rented an apartment over at a condo tower. At the 8th floor life was nice. Quiet neighbours, a lovely and clean place all around.

Also, we tenants got to use the parking lot, the swimming pool, a camping area with fireplaces and small wooden houses and a skybox for... recreational activities, so to speak.

Then one day, the condo owner sells the business to another person. We got a new condo (identical to the previous one) a few meters away.

Plus side:

- Rent lowered from 300 L$ to 150/week

Minus side:

- The skybox is gone
- The parking lot is gone
- The camping area is gone
- The swimming pool has been replaced with a smaller, not so nice one

I said to myself: "Ok, less services but I pay less per week, I can do it" but I didn't know the horror story had yet to end.

I then discovered that I had new (and lousy) neighbours and a few floors below there is an apartment where I never saw the tenant, but which is visited frequently by people having sex and doing everything in open chat.

Not enough. In front of the condo the manager appointed by the new owner placed a flag (Washington state?) and an HUGE billboard asking people to click there for info about renting there.

Yesterday I teleport back to the condo and I find it has been moved again (so it seems. or there is something messing with the teleport) and more and more national flags have been planted in front of it.

Pfftttt... What a messy and ugly place is now. You may say "buy" your own land but that's another story to be told...

DJing!

In an attempt to find new sources of fun, after some thinking I got myself involved into DJing. I asked to Karen and Kian (the owners of the Swingers FunClub) to let me try and they've been very kind by allowing me to use the club facilities to stream live.

A great help came from my friend Mercedes, who's already DJing both at the club and in the "real world"; I got more help from another DJ, Willy. It's so nice to have all those helpful friends!

So far I made some tests, playing a selection of dance music (international/Italian) for my first test session and a selection of Italian dance music for the second one.

I'll try to have more test sessions before my official debut, which is scheduled for Friday, March 2 @ 17.00 CET. I'll be at the Swingers FunClub playing Deep house/chillout music.

I don't plan to become a regular SL DJ, but I guess that once everywhile I'll get at it. It's fun!

Hmmm... Who knows? Maybe I'll grow up to the point to have my own fans :)

Bored... May be fed up

Pfffttt... My SL is no longer fun as it used to be. Seems ages since I started, but it's been "only" about 3 months ago.

I'm not saying nothing new here, basically I'm recalling stuff I wrote into a recent post. Where have all of my old friends gone? How come they're no longer available to spend a good chunk of their time with me?

I could make new friends... I'm an easy going person and I like to socialize, but it looks like the only people I can find belongs to the "utterly lame" group.

The scenario is now typical. Newbie guy, he sends me an IM with some standard line or a simple "Hi".

I usually reply, first because I'm a nice person, second because I would like to meet someone who can sparkle my interest.

Not much luck so far. The newbie guy wants to know everything or almost everything my real life. As soon as I tell him that I'm not up for that he either goes away or he doesn't know what to talk about.

Looks like those guys are only looking for SL/RL sex/romance. When it's not like that they try to use me as a mentor, or "live help". I don't mind to help out a newbie, I often do it, but...

Oh well... enough ranting.

Someone said that I should go and become a "content creator" or do some kind of business. Well, I may or may not do it, but as of now SL ain't much fun for me.

Memories

There was a time when I used to go to Parioli, daily. The music was nice and the place was really cool.

Now the "old fashioned" music has gone and it's been replaced by dance/club music, the one you can hear at the Slurp club, up in the sky. There are a lot of shops and sometimes too much people for my taste.

Anyway, this is a chance to post a picture of me :)

About 3 months

Just a few days and I'll have been for 3 months in SL. Maybe it's time to look back and see what I've done and if that could be somewhat related to what I'll do.

Let's start with the easy stuff.

I had quite a few jobs. I've been a part time dancer, a freelance escort, an escort working for a club and finally a club host.

I had a very nice employer (Hummer Harmison, he's The Boss and I'll always miss working for him) and my current ones (Karen Juno and Kian Stardust) are wonderful. I like my current job, though I don't earn very much.

I also had a SL girlfriend; lost her, but it wasn't anybody's fault. Sometimes things aren't just going to work, for a lot of reasons. I never looked for someone else, maybe because I still miss the one who first shared an house and a "second life" with me.

I got to meet a few wonderful friends and I hope nobody will be upset if I mention only Isabella. She's one of the first friends I met and (unlike someone else) she's still with me, though recently there have been a few changes which I didn't like much, but they didn't affect our friendship.

I built my first house and my first furnitures and some stuff I'm even selling.

This was the easy part. What next?

Well, there are quite a lot of people in my friends list, people that as of now I hardly meet or talk to. When we all were new, we had the same problems I guess; that was enough to keep us close, common problems and the very same awe in front of the many places and different people.

Now it's different. We got new friends, new jobs, our different personalities took over. Maybe this is the reason why we don't spend much time together, as we used to do. Sometimes I speak to one of those "old friends" and it's like talking to a stranger.

I know that there have been the times when one of them wanted to talk with me, or hang out with me, and I was working, or busy with something or someone. So someone may have had a bad feeling about me, but honestly I tried hard to make everyone happy.

Sometimes I feel like I should just purge my friends list, except for just a few ones. Making new friends? It's hard. When I was "new" everything looked so easy. Now it's hard to set aside the "good people" from the gazillion of newbies popping up all the time and "old residents" seems to have so little in common with me...

I don't spend as much time in SL as I used to do, and often I'm alone. Usually I don't mind it, but sometimes it's too much.

Maybe I should really clean my friends list and start all over...

Business!

Ok, not that I'm expecting much from it, anyway a while ago I made a few items more for fun/personal use than anything else.

Afterwards I decided to put them on sale at SLBoutique for decent (I think) prices. You can see what I made so far on my SLBoutique page.

When I'll have some time on my hands I'll try to make more (and better) items. Just for fun, then if I can make a few L$ with them, it's ok!

Pffftttt

Ok, someone I met inworld pointed out that my blog is quite outdated. As always, I replied that I'm too much into SL to even get the chance to tell on my blog about everything going on there :)

So here I am with my post (or rant, if you like more).

I'm not saying anything new here, but to be a woman in SL can be annoying sometimes. As most women do, I try to look pretty/cute/gorgeous and so far so good.

The drawback is that I can't go anywhere (almost) without being approached by some guy (most of the times a newbies, since they're so chatty, cheery and excited - even without featuring an erect penis) asking what I do in that place, where I do come from, how old I am and so on.

First off, this is "Second Life" - first one does not matter and anyway one should (at least I think so) get acquainted with someone, before asking all sorts of (innocent) questions.

Second, I know that in RL a good looking woman can be approached by someone in an attempt to get to know her (so to speak) but when I'm on a place (a mall, a beach, a public walk) and I've to spend most of my time evading from "Hi", "How do you do" and so on, then there is a problem.

A couple days ago I was at a place called "Laguna beach". A guy (SL newbie) started a conversation and I was answering with not much emphasis. He finally commented on how relaxing that place was, and I backfired stating that it wasn't true. He got the message and, quite upset, he left mumbling.

What he didn't know was that yes, I was there to relax, but he was something like the 10th guy in a row coming up with the usual pickup lines.

Third, I try to be kind and polite everytime and if I get that someone is saying "Hi" to me, I always answer back. Too bad that often that ends in some random guy offering me friendship. if I spent some minutes with you talking about how's life or the weather, that doesn't mean that I want to be your best buddy forever!

Fourth, some people will use IMs straight away to get in touch with me for the first time. There are the "IM snipers", people well out of my visual range that will send me an IM and will try to start a conversation while I'm desperately trying to see where they are!

Phew...

Hey Isabella!

I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I know we did agree to let our issue past us and to not talk about it again.

Sorry but I can't just do that.

I have to apologize, because you shared something with me and you got a strong, bitter and fierce comeback. That was uncalled for, since first you've been honest to me and second you could not know about my strong feeling about that... lifestyle, so to speak.

I also had to remember that there are many degrees of involvement (at least I think) and I really had to wait and see how things were turning to for you.

I know I said I did not want to know about that stuff you're being involved now and I know I said I didn't want to see you actively practicing it, but I know that when you'll need my support, whatever the reason, I'll be there for you.

Hugs

Been wondering?

I'm not vanished :)

As I said to a friend of mine, I spend too much time inworld to get a chance to update this blog. Right now I came back here since I wanted to add a link to my friend Rossana's blog feed.

Her blog is written in Italian and if you don't understand it, too bad! You're really missing something. She's a very good writer and her blog will surely be interesting and not like this one of mine :)

Hugs to you all!

New job

2 days ago I started working at the KitKat II dancers & escorts club. I'm the first escort in staff and I like that. Who doesn't like to be #1? :)

This morning when I got up I saw a notice from the club owner, Hummer Harmison. He was talking about restructuring the club, but I was too sleepy to understand the message!

Will check with him, anyway the club will be back, so why don't you spend some of your time with me?

Message me inworld to know about the KitKat II club.

Life goes on

You can't really stop things to happen, can't you?

Thanks to GuRL6 and their Thanksgiving giveaway I have new stuff on my inventory (and on me). Then the sale at ETD, and this is for the shopping part.

Now, on to more important things. I moved into an house in the Delphinus region (if I remember right, since I suck at SL geography) . Not an house of mine, I'm renting it but I don't mind. The good thing is that I moved there with my SL girlfriend, Renee (you can see me and her in some pics I did post a while ago).

If you ever checked my inworld profile, you may have guessed that I was into girls. Like it or not, that's the way it is. It's because of Renee that I wanted to have a place where to place furnitures and stuff. She's so... I don't have enough good words to tell you about her, but I'm so happy she's sharing the house with me...

Our landlord, Hummer Harmison, happens to be the owner of the KitKat Club. He did open a new place (KitKat II) and he hired me to work there, as an escort. He's a nice and understanding employer.

So, after being on SL for less than a month, I can say I'm happy. Good friends, an house that feels like mine, a wonderful girlfriend and a job with a nice employer.

Before I begin...

This is for my friend Duke.

Hon, I can believe I did hurt your feelings. Sometimes things go so fast in SL and I want all of my friends to be happy, but I can't make everyone happy at once.

Maybe you're not reading my blog anymore, maybe you'll never read it again. Anyway, what happened between you and me was written somewhere in the Great Book of Life, so our friendship was set on a path since the beginning.

If I did something wrong, I'm sorry. You've been a good friend and I hope to hear from you again.

Kiss...

Blog update

Ok, I know I haven't updated my blog in a while and a dead blog is no good at all. If you have seen me inworld, you'll understand that I've been pretty busy!

I'll tell you what has been going on. I have several pictures on my HD, as soon as I have enough time on my hands, I'll update my posts.

More pictures

Here we go!

First, me and my friend Duke at the Red Velvet club.

Then, you can see me and my friend Renee at the Lost Gardens of Apollo. We could be good models for a calendar, don't you think so?

Finally, some pics of me, over at Parioli.

Remember that I'm available, if you want to hire me as a model (or something else)!

You won't be disappointed, hon :)
