Virtual banks or stock exchanges?
Siccome l'argomento "finanza virtuale" è tra quelli di maggior interese, per vari motivi, ho pensato di postare alcune considerazioni ed informazioni, sperando che possano essere utili a qualcuno.
Tra i modi per incrementare i L$ a propria disposizione, ve ne sono diversi. Tra questi, due legati al mondo finanziario sono:
Si tratta di due forme di utilizzo dei propri L$ parecchio diverse. Ammettendo che tutto vada per il verso giusto, cioè che nessuno fallisca o scappi con i L$ raccolti, possiamo sintetizzare il tutto così:
Banca virtuale
Borsa virtuale
Il deposito presso una banca virtuale è sicuramente la soluzione più semplice. Si fanno i depositi, si ritira quando si ha bisogno di liquidi. Finito.
Nel secondo caso bisogna avere cura dei propri investimenti. I guadagni più sostanziosi si possono fare attraverso frequenti operazioni di compravendita (si cerca di comprare a poco, si vende ad un prezzo maggiore) che possono avvenire nell'arco della stessa giornata, ma anche di poche ore e a volte minuti.
Tanto più si sta dietro ai propri investimenti in azioni virtuali, tanto maggiori saranno le possibilità di guadagno. La borsa virtuale è anche un ottimo strumento per imparare a conoscere certi meccanismi, che sono mutuati, in tutto o in parte, dalla RL.
In Second Life esistono diverse borse virtuali. Tra queste vi è il VSTEX, unica borsa europea ed unica borsa bilingue (italiano ed inglese) mentre tutte le altre usano solo l'inglese. Non solo noi usiamo l'italiano, ma al momento tutto il nostro staff è italiano, questo assicura ai nostri compatrioti la possibilità di avere informazioni chiare e di poter parlare con qualcuno che ne condivide non solo la lingua, ma anche la cultura.
Attualmente al VSTEX sono presenti tre realtà italiane per le quali è già possibile il trading: IBI Fair "Leonardo da Vinci", Mediterraneo OC e Quattrocolori SL.
Abbiamo un'altra realtà italiana in attesa di entrare nella nostra "arena" e si tratta di ITLAND - Italian Beach Jazz Club, a dimostrazione del fatto che l'interesse per la finanza virtuale così come è espressa dal VSTEX nel nostro paese c'è.
Sono diversi i meccanismi impiegati da VSTEX per proteggere i propri investitori, tra questi:
- un fondo rischi che interviene in caso di fallimento/bancarotta delle società a listino
- una regolamentazione che prevede tra l'altro l'adozione ed il rispetto di un codice etico per le compagnie a listino, un liquidatore fallimentare nominato dagli azionisti ed altro ancora.
Il VSTEX inoltre pone grande cura nella comunicazione al pubblico e nell'educazione degli investitori. A tutti raccomandiamo di leggere questi consigli per l'investimento e la nostra nuova rubrica sulla pubblicazione ufficiale di Mediterraneo OC edita da Quattrocolori SL, "Medi Magazine".
Spero di avere fatto cosa gradita con questo post.

- possibiltià di bloccare i propri capitali per un tempo prefissato, ottenendo un tasso di interesse migliore
- i conti correnti ed i depositi sono normalmente a "zero spese"; non si possono perdere il capitale iniziale o gli interessi accumulati
- è possibile calcolare l'ammontare del capitale ad una data futura
- investimento a basso rischio
Borsa virtuale
- nessun investimento minimo richiesto
- il guadagno è rappresentato dalla distribuzione periodica di utili (dividendi) o dalle plusvalenze sulle operazioni di acquisto/vendita
- non sono riconosciuti interessi sui depositi (fanno eccezione alcune borse virtuali)
- viene applicata una commissione su ogni operazione di vendita
- è possibile non solo rimetterci gli eventuali guadagni, ma anche intaccare il capitale iniziale
- investimento ad alto rischio

And maybe it will disappoint you, since it will be pretty short!
My SL is more or less like it was when I last posted. Something has changed, though. Now I am the Communication and Public Relations Director for the VSTEX, a community based virtual stock exchange.
I really enjoy working there, the VSTEX gave me a chance to see the SL financial mechanisms from the inside and I must say that the guys there are great.
It's like a family. I work for them and I was already playing for their football team, the VSTEX FC. Talk about full immersion!
I must admit that the VSTEX keeps me really busy, but actually I'm having lots of fun and I know I am a workaholic :)
We'll see how things will evolve for me!

Football!
I thought I had done most of the things I could have done on SL. Well, there's always something behind the corner, waiting for me!
I recently discovered that we can actually play football (soccer, for you Americans) on SL! An Italian Football League is starting and I joined the Vstex FC team as both a team leader and a coach.
Vstex is a Virtual Stock Exchange for Second Life (it will be launched soon) and it's the team sponsor. Since the team was formed up under the sponsor patronage, our squad it's named after the company.
I don't have a picture of the team players right now, but here's one taken at a recent meeting. From the left to the right, Mrs. Fiorella Whitfield (our president soulmate), Mr. antonax Rossini (our president) and... me :)
Update: here there are 2 pictures taken at a team meeting, in the Vstex main hall.

More business!
As you know by now, it's been a while (maybe not much, but still a while!) since I started operating on the WSE.
I teamed up with my friend Seo Torres and we founded the Goldflake & Torres Investments. Right now we're investing our own capitals, but soon we may offer something to accustomed or wannabe investors. Stay tuned!

Business as usual
A few days ago I happened to find out that there was a SL working stock trading system, the WSE (World Stock Exchange).
To try it out, I invested a few L$ and I must say I'm becoming addicted and in 4 days my investments escalated to 5.500 L$, which still represents a small capital for the "big guys" but hey, everybody has to start somewhere!
Afterall I'm not feeling fully comfortable with the WSE, because the nature of SL is pretty volatile... Time will tell...
I am also on a PR/Marketing task for the Swingers FunClub, plus I'm talking about an upcoming business venture with a good, longtime friend of mine and I got another offer from another friend.
A while ago I was complaining about my lack of social relationships, looks like I'm gonna be pretty busy!
